Upcoming 7th Grade Field Trip: Friday, March 17th
Dear Parents and Guardians of 7th grade students,
The seventh grade students have been working hard on creating a project to explain the process of photosynthesis. Students had the choice to create a Children’s book, a Comic book or a Cartoon (using Powtoons) and they worked on this project in both Science and Language Arts. As a conclusion activity for this project we have the opportunity to go to Range View Elementary and present our projects to the 5th grade students.
We will be walking to Range View via the Great Western Trail on the afternoon of March 17th, leaving after lunch (around noon). Once we are there students will be assigned to a small group of 5th grade students to share their projects with. We will return to SMS in time to attend our 9th hour class at 2:30.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s science teacher: Stephanie Simmons (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Charma Glitzke (email@example.com).
Thanks for supporting your student,
7th Grade Team
Happy New Year Parents/Guardians!
The 7th grade team is excited to begin 2017! As we start the second part of the school year, we want to remind you of a few things that will help your child be successful as they continue in 7th grade.
1. Please send your child to school prepared with supplies for the new semester. Students are especially in need of more pencils and notebook paper, as well as a set of colored pencils both here and at home. Now is a good time to re-supply!
2. Remember that Homework Club is available Monday through Thursday from 3:00-3:30. Students can use this time to do homework, work on missing work, get extra help, etc. Please utilize this time if you feel your child needs it!
Remember, you can always call or email your child’s teachers if you have any questions. We look forward to a great second half of the year!
