Summer music is an opportunity for incoming band, orchestra, and choir students to get hands-on instruction from professional musicians in 14 instrument specific group lessons.

• Get individualized instruction on beginning techniques
• Learn proper care of your new instrument
• Meet friends you will be singing and playing music with for the next 3 years

Summer Music - Beginners

The Weld RE-4 Summer Music Program is an opportunity for young players to get a head start on their instrument/singing skills before the next school year. Beginners will have 13 group master classes taught by professional musicians trained on their instrument group. They will learn proper playing/singing techniques, instrument assembly, and good tone production.

• When: Weekdays, May 27 to June 12
• 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 .a.m.: Beginning trombone, euphonium, trumpet, violin, viola, flute, saxophone, voice
• 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.: Beginning Percussion, horn, cello, bass, clarinet, tuba, oboe, bassoon
• Where: Severance High School (1200 Hidden Valley Pkwy, Severance, CO 80550)
• Cost: $30 (includes summer band shirt and 13 group lessons). Payment will be due by the first day of camp presented at check-in. Please make checks out to “Weld RE-4”
• Parent Share: June 12th during class time

Students are asked to be present for at least 4 of the 5 days a week. If you have vacation conflicts lasting longer than this, please contact one of the middle school music directors.
